I am Stoked to Have This Flank Steak Salad Again!

Like many of us, I’m on diet after crazy indulgent holiday season. I think the hard part of being on a diet is to find recipes that will satisfy my hunger and taste. This flank steak salad is one that does that. It helps keep your motivation up and make you feel like you can loose those pounds that you want.

Beside healthy, this recipe is easy to make! I think with this recipe I can be successful in this new challenge. Let me know what you think!

  • Water ( To Cook The Flank Steak)

  • 2 lb of Flank Steak

  • 2 Bay Leaves

  • 2 Garlic Cloves

  • 2 Tbs Salt (or To Taste)

  • 1/2 Cup of Extra-Virgin Oil

  • 1/4 Cup of Champagne Vinegar or Sherry Vinegar

  • 1 Tbs of Dried Oregano

  • 1 Lime (Juice)

  • 2 Head Romaine Lettuce (Finely Chopped)

  • 1 Large Tomato ( Cored and Finely Chopped)

  • 6 Radishes (Finely Sliced)

  • 2 Tbs Minced White Onion

  • 1 Tbs of Finishing Salt

  • 2 Avocados (Diced)


  • In a large cooking pan, add water and boil the flank steak with the garlic and bay leaves for 1.5 hours.
  • Add salt and cook for 30 minutes or until the flank steak is tender enough to be shredded with a fork.
  • Remove the flank steak form the water and shred when it cools.
  • While the flank steak cools down, prepare the vinaigrette. Mix the extra-virgin oil, champagne vinegar or sherry vinegar, dried oregano, and lime juice.
  • In a salad bowl, mix the romaine lettuce, tomato, radishes, and onion.
  • Pour the vinaigrette and mix all the flank stake.
  • Carefully add the avocado on top and finisihng salt if needed.
