Fire Roasted Veggies

In many places, fire roasted vegetables are very commonly used in different recipes, or as a side. I think these peppers are really easy to make and provide a really good flavor. It might sound funny, but in South America we usually serve traditional Barbacoa with roasted veggies. You can follow a similar procedure for eggplant, and tomatoes. I believe peppers are the most famous roasted veggie, and that’s why I decided to use this one.

If you don’t feel comfortable by doing it on the stove, I recommend baking under a broiler, but this will take a little bit longer.

Ingredients

  • Bell Pepper or Veggie of Your Choice

  • 1/2 Tsp of Thyme (Optional)

  • Olive Oil (To Cook- Optional)

Directions

  • Turn on the stove on high heat, roast the vegetable until the peel turns black.
  • In a cooking pan add oil and wait until is hot.
  • Add thyme and cook each side for 2 – 3 minutes.
  • Remove the peel with a knife.
