Growing up we had wings, but we never had buffalo wings. That all changed when I met my husband. He and his friends had a tradition of going out every Wednesday night for 20 cent wings. When we started dating, I got invited to join in. Every Wednesday night, around 8 pm, we would head downtown and order 30 wings and fries to split. Typically we got half BBQ and half buffalo. In the beginning, I wasn’t a huge fan of buffalo sauce, so I consumed mostly BBQ. Occasionally, I had a fry dipped in Buffalo sauce or a buffalo wing. After some time, I grew quite a fondness for those buffalo wings.
The 20 cent wings tradition has faded as we left college. We no longer can eat wings once a week and stay moderately fit. But still, I get a craving for buffalo wings. When that happens, here is my go-to easy recipe to satisfy that craving. Hopefully, you enjoy it as much as I do!
